Answer 1)

No, the OneTouch ® Delica™ Lancing Device only accepts OneTouch® Delica™ Lancets.

To help avoid infection, use a new sterile lancet every time you test. A used lancet also gets dull even after one use.

• Never use a lancet that has been used by someone else.
• Always dispose of lancets in a container for sharp/biohazard objects.

You do not need a prescription to use the new OneTouch Delica, however if you currently have a prescription with Diabetesexpress, asking your docotor to provide a branded prescription is the best way to ensure your pharmacy fills the right diabetes testing supplies.

The OneTouch® Delica™ Retail Kit includes the lancing device, 10 lancets and instructions for use.

AGCS stands for Advanced Glide™ Control System. AGCS is provided by a number of device and lancet features:

• The lancet holder is prevented from wobbling during lancing by its tight fit in its guidance sleeve
• The lancet is held stable in the lancet holder by means of two clips
• Two guidance rings on the lancet holder provide stability throughout the lancing stroke
• The lancet is also prevented from wobbling by its ribs, which fit tightly into matching slots in the lancet holder
• The lancet incorporates a 33G lancet.

The lancet and lancet holder are of lower mass than those in other lancing devices; low mass contributes to less vibration during lancing. The addition of a PORON® foam pad between the guidance sleeve and the device housing also reduces vibration. Finally, the reduced wobble provided by the AGCS also contributes to reducing vibration.
